Working with the Communications Officer, I supported the day-to-day and internal communications work:

  • writing success stories for their website,

  • managed and curated the quarter’s content calendar,

  • created content for social media.

Shaftesbury High School success story

A yearly tradition of performing at senior care homes did not halt Shaftesbury High School students from gifting holiday joy amidst the global pandemic — they got creative.

International Women’s Day

Designed Pembina Trails’ social media graphic for International Women’s Day in 2021.

When designing, I kept in mind their brand identity and colours, while also being mindful of their audience — being parents, faculty, and students.

St. Boniface Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital Foundation

Working with the Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications, I managed projects under both the Hospital and. St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. This work included:

  • Mother’s Day and Father’s Day campaigns: article for web on new mother, writing social media posts to promote donations, curating imagery for Superboard ad;

  • writing key messages and creating a year-long content calendar for promotional/awareness days (particularly health- and healthcare-related);

  • developing an internal communications strategy for a staff recognition program; and

  • writing scripts and filming and editing testimonials for the CNO and CFO video messages for National Nursing Week and Allied Healthcare Professionals Recognition Week.

Strategy for staff recognition program

SWOT analysis, recommendations, and example provided to redesign the Hospital’s staff recognition program.

With the strategic approaches, I designed and presented with all branding and audiences in mind.

National Nursing Week and Allied Healthcare Professionals Recognition Week

Wrote script in speech format using key messages, and filmed and edited video testimonials for the Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Financial Officer.
